August meeting on Thursday the 19th

Please join us on Thursday, August 19, at 7:00 for our August club meeting at the State Building Auditorium, 6150 Van Nuys Blvd. **The parking meter enforcement time has been extended until 8:00 pm. Make sure you bring at least $1 in change to feed the meters until 8:00.**

We will be discussing the propositions on the November ballot and will be voting on endorsements. Credentials will close at 7:30. You must be signed in by 7:30 in order to vote.

Nominations open for club election

Nominations for our club election will close at the end of the VGFD meeting on August 19th and the election will take place at the September 11th meeting. Positions are president, vice president, treasurer, secretary, and 7 executive board positions. Officers and e-board members will serve for the 2011 calendar year. To nominate someone (or yourself) send an email to nominations@vgfd.net. Nominations will also be taken at the August meeting.

Please note that the September meeting takes place on Saturday the 11th, a week earlier than usual because of the Jewish holidays.

Join us this Saturday the 11th at 10:00 am for our September meeting, including club elections for the 2011 calendar year.

We will be meeting at the new Democratic campaign HQ, 7221 Van Nuys Blvd, Unit B-2, Van Nuys.

We'll have a shorter-than-usual meeting, followed by phone banking and other volunteering to help our Democratic ticket win in November.
