January 2017 Club Meeting

Our regular monthly meeting at the State Building.

- Learn about the Democratic Party

How does it work? What is its structure? What does it do? And most important WHAT CAN I DO?
Learn about your role in the party, what is a platform, a resolution and how is an endorsement made.

- Saving Medicare and Social Security

We'll be writing to voters in California swing districts to encourage them to contact their Congressional members. Getting the people mobilized into action is the way to save these critical programs.

- The club's participation in the Women's March L.A. on Saturday

We'll be marching as a club at the Women's March Los Angeles. Bring friends and family.

The plan:

- Meet downstairs at the Universal City Metro Red Line Station. We leave promptly at 9:00am.
- If you miss us or want to meet us downtown we will gather at The International Jewelry Center at 550 Hill, 1/2 block south of the Pershing Square Metro station.
- March starts at 10:00am at Pershing Square.
- Please wear your VGFD button, very comfortable shoes, and layered clothing. Bring water!

We'll have our club banner to hoist high along with our voices.

More info about the march here

Note that we moved our regular meeting day to Thursday so we could participate in the Women's March on Saturday.
