Dr. Stephany Powell, Executive Director of the Mary Magdalene Project, will be joining us to present and lead a discussion on Human Trafficking. 

Mary Magdalene, a long-time organizational friend of Valley Grassroots, is a non-profit that helps women, who are victimized by domestic trafficking and street prostitution, exit the lifestyle. 

Dr. Powell was a sworn member of the Los Angeles Police Department for thirty years. Prior to becoming a Police Officer, she was a school teacher for the Los Angeles Unified School District.
