Join us for an evening with our special guest Sandra Fluke, discussing women in the Trump Era. Our June club meeting is on Thursday, June 15th, at 7:00pm.

Republicans control all branches of the Federal government; many states, also controlled by Republicans, are rolling back protections. It's important for women and the men who love them to understand the threats and take steps to counteract them.
This remarkable woman will speak on these issues, sharing her perspective and providing insights on what we can do.
For over a decade, Sandra has devoted her career to legislative & legal advocacy for the public interest. She is the California State Director of an advocacy organization where she works on climate change, economic inequality, campaign finance reform, immigration, healthcare, and criminal justice reform. Prior to running for State Senate in 2014, she garnered national attention by testifying before Congress regarding insurance coverage for birth control, and took on Rush Limbaugh. (Limbaugh called her a "prostitute".... surely a badge of honor!)
She serves on the Boards of the National Council of Jewish Women-Los Angeles and Emerge California, and on the advisory boards of Equality California, Stonewall Democrats, West Hollywood Beverly Hills Democrats, Westside Family Health Center, and Hollaback, in addition to volunteering as a pro bono attorney. She graduated cum laude from Georgetown Law as a Public Interest Law Scholar with a Certificate in Refugee and Humanitarian Emergencies, and from Cornell with a degree in Policy Analysis and Management.
Additionally, we'll have an update on the recent California Democratic Convention and our resolutions, one of which was passed by the state party.
