PLEASE ARRIVE ON TIME, Meeting starts at 10am sharp!

We are honored to host Mayor Karen Bass, who will be speaking, starting at 10 am.  She is giving us 45 minutes, so we will have index cards to write down your questions when you sign in.

We will also begin the club's nomination process for Officers and Board members.  Nominations are accepted up until voting begins in the September meeting.  Those elected in September will start their terms on Jan 1, 2026, but will be invited to board meetings as soon as they are elected to begin learning.  We will also have a special election for an At-Large position, to be filled immediately, due to a recently vacated position.

Lastly, we will again be writing postcards to encourage voter registration and voting for the 3 Democrats up for re-election to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.  These races are again taking on new urgency with the looming state fights over re-districting for the US House.  Postcards are to be mailed as soon as you are done writing them.  Since we're finishing our postcard supply, we will also have Vote Forward letters for the same races in Pennsylvania, which will be encouraging likely Democrats with low voting propensity to get out and vote.  Letters are to be held for mailing between Sept 2 and Oct 28.
